Yard Inspections
Yard Inspections
are done every Thursday (weather permitting). Residents please be sure you are watering, edging, weeding, and mowing the full 50 feet back and halfway between you and your neighbor. Also, make sure you are storing your trash cans either in the garage or behind your home when it is not your trash day. Thank you for helping keep our community beautiful!
Panting Pets
Residents please be advised that the Nebraska Humane Society does not allow residents of Nebraska to leave their pets outside for longer than 15 minutes without adult supervision. With the increasingly warm weather we've been experiencing, we would like to remind people that this law is strictly enforced and to please report any issues with pets in the community to the Nebraska Humane Society at (402) 444-7800. Thank you!

School's Out!
Summertime is finally here and children are outside playing all around the community. Please note that for safety reasons children should stay on the sidewalks, off the streets, and should not be playing in the cul-de-sacs. Parents, now is a great time to go over some guidelines with your children about playing safe this summer.
Pesky Pests

Natural Gas Systems
Black Hills Energy Project to replace the old natural gas systems started April 26, 2010 in the neighborhoods to the north of Kennedy Blvd and to the west of LeMay Elementary. This project involves Black Hills Energy shutting off each individual meter set for about 10 minutes to locate the old service line then turning the gas back on and relighting your appliances. Black Hills Energy's phone number is 1-888-890-5554 if you have any questions or concerns. Depending on their progress and the weather this may take several days. We appreciate your support and patience with this and all the ongoing projects around our community.
Ring Ring
Rising View would like to remind residents to refrain from using cell phones while driving throughout the property as this is a violation of Security Forces' rules. Not following this rule will result in residents being pulled over and cited/ticketed.
Parking
Spring is near and it's almost time once again for grilling outdoors. Please remember to not block your own or others' driveways when grilling out. Also, be careful to keep the grills a safe distance from your home to prevent damage to your home's siding. Be sure you're storing them either on the backside of your home or in a storage shed when they're not being used.

Leaves and Snow Removal
We understand assignments/deployments sometimes leave spouses with unexpected responsibilities that they are not able to deal with (such as raking leaves or snow removal). If you are unable to take care of these responsibilities yourself, please view our list of contractors found under the Current Residents Tab under Lawn Care and Snow Removal. However, Rising View understands that sometimes families experience hardships where they’re not able to do snow removal or rake leaves; if you’re experiencing this Rising View would like to help. Please contact Rising View Leasing Office to see what we can do to assist you.
Energy Saving Tips
Society today is more aware of energy conservation than ever before. By 2018, the plan is for Rising View residents to begin paying for their utilities. The Air Force has instituted some energy saving policies which most can be adopted at home. Here are some helpful tips we can do in our homes to save energy.
- Turn off exterior and interior lights when not needed.
- Keep doors and windows closed during seasonal weather peaks, such as summer and winter, and your thermostats sets accordingly.
- In the winter season, keep your thermostat set to around 72 degrees and in the summer set to around 76 degrees.
- For other energy saving tips, you can go to the websites for OPPD and Black Hills energy.
Keep an eye out for more energy saving tips to come on our future newsletters and added to our web page.

things such as turning off your porch light during the day and all night
