It's HOT
We have come into our first hot stretch of the season, here are some
hints to help you to keep cool. Keep all entrance doors to your home closed
while running the air conditioning, close your blinds during the day this
will help keep some of the sun and heat out of the home. As always check
your furnace filter and set your thermostat at one temp and leave it there,
we recommend no lower than 72 degrees. If you set your thermostat extremely
low you run the risk of freezing up the air conditioner. If after using
these hints and you are having troubles please don't hesitate to contact
the Maintenance desk for assistance. Have a safe and enjoyable 4th of
July

remind our residents we have air filters at our self help desk for

Air Conditioning
In this age everybody is doing what they can to conserve energy
and in our partnership with the Air Force we are asking our residents
to
set your Air Conditioning at 72 degrees during these summer months.

call the service desk number for a response with an emergency call.
It’s time
to cut your grass!
Grass should be cut weekly to 3”-4” and
watered regularly during the growing season of April through November.
Residents are asked
to edge along sidewalks and driveways and trim grass from around trees
and other removable objects to enhance the overall appearance of our
community. (Page 6, Resident Handbook) If you already have sod or are
receiving it, once it is laid down, make sure you water it everyday
for at least 2 weeks so the water gets
to the roots of the sod. Also, with the new sod, make sure the blade
on your lawn mower is no lower than 3 1/2” to cut your new yard.
If you have any questions, please call the Rising View Help Desk at
991.9820 for more assistance.

Seed and Fertilizer
Our spring growing season is nearing and that means our Self Help Desk
will soon be carrying our grass seed and fertilizer. This year we are
purchasing a larger amount of seed and fertilizer. As we did last year,
we will sign out one bag of seed and feed to each household as a starter
for the growing season.
Even though there are standards for lawn care, we want each family to be able to personalize their home. This year we will not be carrying flowers at our Self Help Desk. What better way to personalize your flower space than by picking out what you would like. We look forward to seeing all the bright colors in front of your home, and the difficult time we will have picking out “Yard of the Month” winners.
As always, we have a variety of items for you to sign out at our Self Help Desk now that spring is at our doorstep.
Spring into Spring!
The temperature is starting to warm up which means we’ll be outside
more than we’ll be inside so we need to make sure we clean up after
ourselves and our pets! Be sure to bring the proper “utensils” on
your dog walks and pick up any trash and debris in your yard. We need
to help keep the community sparkling! Let’s all work together and
continue to be “Neighbors Helping Neighbors” and be proud
of your Rising View Community!

Go GREEN
We encourage all residents to do their part in conserving energy. Little
things such as turning off your porch light during the day and all night
long add up to big savings. Replacing heating and air conditioner filters
can also cut down on energy costs.
